Our daughter, Eleonore, breeds AKC Labs.  She has a "white" female (Opal), a black female (Storm), and a black male (Ben). Her newest litter became available June 27, 2008, when the puppies were six weeks old. As of July 4th, they are seven weeks old. We have ONLY TWO left - A black female and a black male. They are normally $250 each, but we want to see these last two find homes soon, so we will negotiate their price.

Stats for interested buyers: Out of 44 puppies in four litters, we have only lost 2 puppies (one at five days of age, 1 was stillborn). We begin deworming at three weeks of age, and continue dewormer treatments every two weeks until sold. We begin their shots at 6 weeks, and continue until they are sold. Cocidia is a common puppy illness that can cause diarrhea in puppies, but has no affect on older dogs. It comes from cats. It is common in many neighborhoods. Because our second litter had contact with it, we have treated each litter since - whether or not they actually have it. We feel it is in the best interest of the puppies to pre-treat for this condition - then the new owners don't have to worry about it. So all our puppies are treated for cocidia at about 4 weeks of age. We try very hard to ensure our puppies are as healthy as possible when we sell them. They are born in our house and are introduced to the outside world around 3 weeks of age. Weather permitting, they are permanently moved to the outdoor kennels around 4 weeks of age.

Some of our previous buyers send us postcards, e-mails, etc., letting us know how well the dogs are doing, tricks they've learned, etc.  We can provide recommendations if needed. Buyers are provided with vet information related to the dogs,  tips for raising puppies, shot schedules, deworming schedules, and a baggie of Purina puppy chow.  We do that so they can be slowly weaned from our brand to another brand if the new owner so wishes. Immediately changing the diet of a puppy can cause tummy and stool problems for the pup, so it's best to mix what they are used to with whatever they are being changed to.

The black male got a little eye infection when he was 6 weeks old, and he is almost finished with the treatment. It's simple - he just gets a liquid antibiotic every 12 hours and some eye med in each eye several times a day. We just got back from the vet (7-8-08) and he said one eye looks great, the other is almost well, so to keep up the program for another week. He said we can sell the puppy, but the new owner needs to keep up the medications. If anyone is looking for a puppy that is almost housetrained -  he's it! He doesn't whine all night inside anymore, he's becoming housebroken, he comes when he's called, and he follows us around everywhere we go! He even barks when he needs to go out! He's a smart little guy, all set to be someone's home companion!

Below are pictures from the litter.
